REMINDER – HALLOWEEN
CURFEW
The Village of Kinderhook’s Halloween Curfew will be in effect between
8:00 PM and 6:00 AM on October 30, 31 and November 1. During this time, any
person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian
or responsible person who is over the age of 21, and approved by the child’s
parent or legal guardian, when in or upon any public street, sidewalk,
playground and other public place.

RECREATION COMMISSION
HALLOWEEN PARTY
The annual Halloween Celebration will be held upstairs in the Village
Hall on Saturday, October 29, at 2:00 PM. There will be judging of costumes,
awards, and treats given out. Please join us for this fun-filled event.

KBPA ANNUAL HALLOWEEN
READING
On Saturday, October 29, the Headless Horseman will again ride through
the streets of Kinderhook. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will be read on the
steps of the James Vanderpoel House beginning at 3:15 PM. Please bring the
whole family to enjoy these unique activities!

KBPA FALL FESTIVAL
On Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM is the OK Fall
Festival and the Columbia County Historical Society Family Festival. It is
held on the grounds of the James Vanderpoel House. A great family event with
activities for all ages! Period music and dance, hay rides, pumpkin
painting, scarecrow making, apple bake off, farmers market, book sale and
food vendors.

SANTA CLAUS CLUB
The Village of Kinderhook Santa Claus Club is sponsored by the Palmer
Engine and Hose Company. The Santa Claus Club appreciates the support,
generosity and time of the Fire Dept. If you are a new resident of the
Village and your child is 8 years old or younger and you would like him or
her to receive a Christmas Eve visit from Santa Claus, please contact before
December 5, 2010 Jim and Jo Sheehey at 758-7844.

VILLAGE CANDLELIGHT
NIGHT
On the evening of Friday, December 9, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM,
Village businesses will begin the holiday sparkle with the annual
Candlelight Night. Local businesses will open their doors to receive guests
and visitors of all ages. Santa, wagon rides, music, lights and food will
fill the evening.
